As with most things in life, good ideas and necessity are the mothers of all inventions. In the summer of 1997 the 3 founding members banded together, after losing their storage spots, to find a place that they could store their cars and work on them over the winter months. The space located was larger than anticipated and it was decided that the space could be rented to others, like themselves, wanting a space to store and work. From these beginnings of 9 cars to presently 40 cars being stored and worked on and many are waiting to get in.
The club was originally named 'Mississauga Muscle Car Club', but modified in 1998 to represent the broader cross section of cars joining the Club. We have Dodge, Plymouth, Fors, Mercury, Chevy, Pontiac's, Cadillac's, Mercedes, M.G.'s, ½ tons, motorcycles - from 100 hsp to over a 1000 hsp. The one common factor: "We are All Car Crazy". We are proud to be a working mans Club - no prima donnas here - everyone gets dirty - and must work on their own car.
Our membership is as varied as our cars - everything from corporate executives, computer wiz's and mechanics to wannabe mechanics, we work in the movie industry and the food industry, own our own businesses and are retired; we are in out 20's and 70's as well. We enjoy a day cruising in the country as well as a day at the track. Anything about cars will usually draw us in.
During the winter months we try and meet the first Sunday of the month to lie, talk business, plan our summers, and make sure everyone is getting the work done they had planned.
